The By-Laws of the Maine Psychological Association (MePA) outline the essential framework and operational guidelines of the organization. These By-Laws define the Association’s name, its mission to advance psychology as a science and profession, and promote health and human welfare.

MePA’s bylaws also establish the various membership classes, detailing the rights, privileges, and standards for Fellows, Professional members, Academic members, Associate members, and Affiliates.

Additionally, the By-Laws describe the structure and responsibilities of the Association’s officers, Executive Committee, and Policy Council, as well as procedures for meetings, committee appointments, and amendments to the By-Laws. These guidelines ensure the smooth functioning and governance of the Association, supporting its mission and objectives.
