FREE Star Behavioral Health Providers (SBHP) Training

SBHP offers three levels of training that must be taken sequentially since each tier builds on the other.

All trainings are free with APA continuing education (CE) credits:

• Tier One: One day, covers military culture and the impact of deployments on families. (6.5 APA CEs)
• Tier Two: Two days, covers issues associated with military service, including military family resilience, traumatic brain injury, substance abuse, sleep disorders, suicide, PTSD, and 3 hours of ethics. (13.5 APA CEs)
• Tier Three: Two days, teaches evidence-based psychotherapies for treating particular behavioral health conditions (14 APA CEs)
• Once licensed providers have completed the Tier One training, they are eligible to enroll in the SBHP online registry where Service Members, Veterans, and their families can connect to them for services. While only licensed behavioral health providers can be on the registry, we welcome other helping professionals to attend the Tier One and Tier Two trainings.
