Organizations with five or more psychologists who meet the qualifications of a Member are eligible for a 25% discount on all member dues. Organizations must register and pay for their group members together to qualify. First-year members and post-doc members are not eligible for this additional discount. Deductibility: Association dues are not deductible as a charitable contribution, but may be deducted as an ordinary business expense. MePA estimates that 26% of dues will be allocated to lobbying expenditures, and are not deductible for federal income tax purposes. IRC Sec 162(e)(3).
New Member Applicants
Payment for the first year of dues should accompany the application.
For those applying as Full Members ($310 – $275), there is a 50 percent reduction in dues for the first year of membership.
